• Green Gulf Launches Solar Industry Projects in Saudi Arabia

  • Green Gulf Holding, a leading Saudi firm in the development of solar technology, was present at the Intersolar Europe that took place from the 17th - 20th of June in Munich, Germany. Leading the way to the future of clean energy, Green Gulf is proud to announce two cornerstone projects as the basis for further solar industry developments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. For the upstream sector of PV, Green Gulf signed an initial agreement with KINETICS GERMANY GmbH to conduct a basic and full engineering project for an ingot and wafer factory as well as a solar module plant, where Green Gulf intends to produce 750 MW of Ingot and Wafer annually in Yanbu, west of Saudi Arabia; 500MW multi-crystalline, and 250MW mono Crystalline. Mr. Ramy Yaghmour, CEO Green Gulf Holding and Mr. Wolfgang Scheeff, COO Kinetics Germany had signed the initial agreement.

    Furthermore, Green Gulf signed another initial agreement with Meyer Burger Technology AG, Switzerland; to purchase equipment for the manufacture of 200 MW solar modules. The production line is fully automated and specially designed for Saudi Arabia applications.

    Mr. Ramy Yaghmour, CEO Green Gulf Holding, Mr. Amr Khamis, CTO Green Gulf Holding, Mrs. Ariane Kuenzli, CSO Division Module Meyer Burger, and Mr. Claudio Gisep, Business Development Director Meyer Burger were present in the signing ceremony.
    Green Gulf intends to sign final agreements for both projects during July 2013.
